Hi Dave: Yes, we need to be wild - laugh, love, dance, sing and get out. A 15 second belly laugh out loud (BLOL) break 2X a day will improve your health. Try it!

Thank you, David, for posting this info about depression and the benefits of exercise. I have found exercise to be an incredible solution to all sorts of things, but especially for long hours in front of the computer!

William Styron's book you mentioned is excellent; so compelling and raw. He wrote honestly about his struggles and this book can help people understand how crippling depression truly is for some people, that it isn't just something they can "snap out of."

Hey - nice blog, just looking around some websites, seems a really nice platform you are using. I'm currently using Wordpress for a few of my websites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?

Hi David,
This is a great post that shows us how a simple thing as exercising can create a big difference in our lives and carry through to our business success. For me, doing different types of exercise keeps me engaged. Whether it's running, yoga, dancing or...Wii (yes my family got me into this new video fitness program w/ Wii that is so fun!) I always feel better when I exercise. Thank u for sharing!

David,
What excellent information you have provided. I especially liked about the depression issue. This is very true especially with a lot of issues todays familys are going through with the economy people could be depressed. Thanks for sharing this information!

David,
Great article. You know, I would think that entrepreneurs would be a little more prone to mild depression, often needing to work on projects without the benefit of large teams, picking up and starting on their own, etc. Motivating yourself isn't always easy. I think an exercise regimen, really sticking to one, helps enormously. On busy days, sometimes it takes every drop of will I have to pull myself off the computer and even take a walk.
Great advice! Thanks!

I have to say, as someone that has dealt with depression myself, when I started reading your article, I groaned internally, expecting the usual hype. However you delivered remarkably! You gave incredibly solid well thought out advice that doesn't devalue anyone. Its content like that that demonstrates your strong leadership abilities!

Exercise is even CLINICALLY recommended these days because the simple fact is, in many cases, it works FAR better than medications. I can certainly attest to that. And... I can attest as well to how hard the advice can be to take when all you want to do is curl up with a pillow! Thanks for the great reminder!
