Right on, David! It is so vital to choose a mentor who can assist you in resolving the “dissonance” of having too much knowledge that is not yet plugged in to accomplishing goals. I appreciate your perspective on the advantages of having a mentor.

    Yes David,
I like your explanation of a mentor and why it’s so important to have this in your life. The mentor is wonderful and just know what you need from that person.

A mentor pulls it all together for you, if you are open to the feedback and accountability.
    Val :)

Yes, mentorship is the very best way to shortcut the path to success! I agree you need to take courses and build your knowledge base, but I also agree that most people get caught up in course after course without taking action. I say, learn as you earn! Always be a student, but also follow those who have accomplished what you want to accomplish ~ find out what is WORTH your time to study ~ and your path will be a whole lot smoother.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom, David!

Excellent advice, Beth. Always a student, but always follow your mentors… that means to imitate the action they’ve taken!

I enjoyed your explanation of when it might be a good time to enlist the services of a mentor. I agree, there are different stages for people as to the level of mentorship involved. Working with a mentor can certainly cut the learning curve drastically and one of the best things about working with a mentor is the accountability factor. Having someone holding you accountable for your actions and development can make the difference.

    Thanks for your insightful post.

Timing is everything, David. You’re ready for a mentor when you’re ready to move up to the next level. Then you’ve got to back off, work it at that level until you’re ready to move forward again. At that point, go back to get some renewed mentoring.

“Rinse and Repeat” and your growth is bound to be phenomenal in a ridiculously short time.

    Hi David!!
Thank you very much for sharing this valuable information.
Internet marketing is really a sea of unlimited choices. There are many ways to do Internet marketing and nothing works exactly the same for everyone the same way.
Each technique and each strategy has its way of being dominated and try to understand the Online Marketing for yourself, not to say, master a specific strategy, it is very difficult and may mean you a big headache.

Having a mentor is essential to “save the learning curve” that you walk when you go just for this ocean of information available online.

Part of the learning curve is to know when to step up and get the help you need. Successful people know this, and don’t try to tough it out alone, or spare a few bucks to lose far more in time and effort reinventing the wheel.

If you don’t get help when it’s needed, you could be stuck in neutral for a very long time.

    Hey David,

I couldn’t agree more about having a mentor. For me the most important part was having a mentor who became an accountability partner.
We’ve all done some pretty powerful courses, but sometimes we just need a little help in pulling it all together.

    Hi David,
To have a mentor is like to have a shortcut to our goals. Sometimes we get lost with all the courses, and we simply don’t know where is the light. Then is when we need to call for a mentor for help.
    Thanks for this post
