If you’re wondering how to make good use of your newly update

Facebook page, a great place to start is with an app called Static

HTML: iframe tabs.

This can be used to set up a landing page above the fold of your

Facebook page, in the tabs section.

The tabs section are the spots that run to the right of the “About” and “Photos” tabs. The

“About” and “Photos” tabs are “sticky”. That is, their positions are stuck where they are.

They cannot be moved. However, you can add a tab before the “Likes” tab if you

want. The position of the “Likes” tab can be moved.

To add a tab, simply go into the “Search” browser when you’re logged in to your

Facebook page.

Type in the words “Static HTML: iframe tabs”, and the app will appear in the results.

Click on the app, and it will open into a popup that gives you the message that “You are

using Facebook as ….”. It will then prompt you to continue.

You will then be further prompted to “Add Static HTML to a Page”.

Once you click on that, the app will be added to your timeline.

You then will be given a choice to add html coding to a page that everyone visiting your

page can see. You will also be given the optin to add “Fans-only content” so that only

fans can see the content, others will be prompted to become fans.

Further tutorials as to the specifics will be furnished when you’ve loaded your Static

HTML: iframe tabs app.

This is a super way to add “likes” and build “buzz” for your page. You can use it to stage

contests, offer rewards, discounts and all the other traditional marketing hooks that can

make your Facebook page the talk of your niche!

If you need some tech help, let me know. Otherwise, just dive in and have fun with

Static HTML: iframe tabs.

Like a grand lake, your Fan Page is fed continually by a variety of social streams, filled with fans that you must learn to channel in the direction of your Fan Page.

Fan Page Basics

1. make a Fan Page; and

2. energize it with some Fan Page Buzz by infusing it with a good quantity of

highly targeted, high-quality content.

Procuring Fans and Followers

Once you have covered the basics outlined above, getting fans and instilling

loyalty in them, becomes your main task.

The best way to do that is to continue, on a consistent basis, to offer quality

content, while making sure everyone in your circle of influence is regularly made

aware of your new offers and updates.

SEO Your Facebook Fan Page

One other strategy to get folks swimming your way, is to optimize your Fan Page

with keywords. As with blogs and articles, Search Engines like Google, Bing and

Yahoo will scan your Fan Page to see if it is relevant to various search

criteria. Meanwhile, Facebook also its own search engine, too.

As with other online content, integrate keywords “on page” within key areas:

1. status updates
2. titles
3. page name
4. the info box
5. image tags
6. video tags

You can build an “off page” SEO strategy by building backlinks to your page. Be

sure to cultivate backlinks from external sources like blog posts, Twitter feeds,

YouTube, and other source locations.

As you improve you Fan Page SEO ranking, you stand a better chance to gain search

traffic, and further build the authority status of your Fan Page.

This post is the third in a series of Facebook Fan Page overviews. I urge you to

review the previous posts in the series, Make A Fan Page and Fan Page Buzz.

I love to read your questions and comments, and encourage you to share this post

within your social media streams. I’d also love to hear if what you’ve found

useful in filling your social streams and harnessing your own Fan Page Flow.

If you’re looking to create or build an existing online business, make a “Fan Page” on facebook. It’s easy to do, and you can create multiple pages to coordinate with different aspects of your business. People often think it’s a long and expensive undertaking to develop an online business or to actually start earning commissions on the internet. It doesn’t have to be complicated, difficult or time-consuming when you make a “fan page” to get the ball rolling,

Fan Page Basics

First you need a personal facebook account. Once you have that, simply go to your account and create a Fan Page.

Facebook Makes Creating A Fan Page Easy

Facebook now gives you various categories of fan pages to hook into. The video shows you where to find a category for any fan page you have in mind, and to set up your fan page within that category. It’s great to take advantage of the facebook tools, because they are well defined and targeted for your fan page.

Do You Need A Fan Page Before You Have Fans?

The term “fan page” is actually a misnomer for most fan page applications. The majority of these pages are actually business pages, social cause pages, company pages, artist pages, non-profit organization pages and the like.

The original concept of the fan page was that the page owner would be some sort of celebrity that everyone would want to follow. It was a great way for facebook to attract a lot of people to their site.

Today, though, many different people want a “fan page” for many different reasons. You will generally hear a business, artist or non-profit page (along with all the others) referred to as a “fan page”.

Can I Sell Stuff on My Fan Page?

Short Answer: Yes. Facebook allows you to engage in commercial activity on fan pages, but not on your personal page. That said, the best commercial use of your fan page is NOT to simply “sell stuff”.

It is to engage with others in your niche, and leverage the immense popularity and credibility of facebook to establish your own “brand” among those who would care the most (others engaging in conversation within your same niche).

I love to read your questions and comments, and encourage you to share this post within your social media streams. I’d also love to hear if you’ve been running a fan page on facebook, or what you think about creating your first fan page.

Marketing campaigns are designed to obtain prospects and clients, but also to put your business on the map and establish you as a force to be reckoned with in the world of cutting edge internet entrepreneurs and online marketers.

In the final part of this series on using Social Media as the key to your Internet Marketing Success , I will show you how to execute an extreme offensive attack from the positions you have established. Executing proven strategies such as these will become the foundation for driving traffic, prospects, and down-lines from Social Media sites to your blog and, ultimately, into your sales funnel.

In the first part of this series, I discussed how creating a path to online marketing success requires taking up precise Social Media positions. In the second part, I illustrated how to reinforce these positions consistently and systematically with valuable content that is specifically meaningful to your target clientele.

Use Your Positions To Co-Ordinate and Execute Extreme Marketing Campaigns

Now that you’ve assumed your Social Media positions, and have established a plan for the ongoing reinforcement of those positions, you are ready to unleash an extreme marketing campaign. There are many types of campaigns you could embark on, of course, but let’s look at just one. This will show you what a marketing campaign might look like.

Case Study

One of my clients (let’s pretend it is you) was interested in building up her MLM downline for a health products company.

Here’s one marketing campaign we devised.

Step One:

Create a single video discussing the product line: what it is, what its health benefits are, and who would want to use it.
Create a SERIES of 3 videos discussing the benefits of becoming a distributor of the product.

Step Two:

Release the videos (post them) onto You Tube and other video sites, one at a time, for 4 consecutive days.

Step Three:

On day one of your first video release (about the product), you will post an entry on your blog about health in general, pertaining to the product you are promoting, but not specifically. So for instance, you could post about how your diet could reduce the likelihood of heart attacks, reduce high cholesterol and lower blood pressure. (One of your key products utilizes these same principles, but that is only discussed in your video, not on your blog post).
On the second day, enter a pillar post on your blog about MLM marketing, showcasing your skill-set and capability to lead people through a marketing process. This post is NOT about your MLM opportunity, it IS about how any MLM can be effectively marketed. This post should link directly to the “work with me” (or whatever you call it) page on your blog that will show prospects more about your MLM and HOW THEY CAN CONTACT YOU to get involved. It should also backlink to your You Tube video.

Step Four:

At the same time that you post the two blog posts outlined in Step Three, you will post two ezine articles that are essentially the same as your blog posts, but reworked for article SEO formatting.

For SEO formatting, I recommend that your articles should be heavily key-worded to your niche.

In addition, the first paragraph should comprise a fairly detached and academic statement of (in article 1) the health issues that your product addresses; and (in article 2) the nature and history of MLM marketing.

These articles should backlink to your You Tube video, and to your “work with me” blog page, or, probably best of all… an “excluded” blog page dedicated strictly to the campaign.

Call To Action

This campaign was designed for a client desiring to build her downline. Its purpose was to root out all the browsers and seekers of MLM opportunities in general, and attract those ready and able to join the specific opportunity offered.

In order to have people ACT on my client’s video, blog and article discussions … a Call To Action had to be in place. For the most part, I suggested that this be offered in the form of the “work with me” static page of the blogsite, or the excluded page linked to directly from video and article content.

In addition, Facebook links and Tweets are used to encourage people to view the blogs, as are email blasts to prospects already in the sales funnel, and direct messages to the Facebook sales funnel list of prospects.

The call to action in this case was essentially a “call me for more information” offer. Optional to this, you could also employ an optin box on your “work with me” page, or even within the blog post itself. Still another call to action could be an optin box on your Facebook Business page.

Summary

Marketing campaigns are designed to obtain prospects and clients, but also to put your business on the map and establish you as a force to be reckoned with in the world of cutting edge internet entrepreneurs and online marketers.

Besides the prospects you seek for the immediate opportunity you are promoting, you will also be adding to your overall online credibility. This might lead to people joining other opportunities or products you offer on your blog, or at the very least, should add to your online visibility and personal branding.

Campaigns like the one I just demonstrated, can put your business over the top. They can establish you as a force to be reckoned with in the world of internet entrepreneurs and online marketing. Your Social Media sites will be the base from which all operations proceed, and your Internet Marketing Success will be measured by how effectively you carry out missions to attract and convert prospects, leads, down-lines and business partners into your marketing funnels. Visit my other posts that detail the first and second parts of this 3-part series designed to propel you to rapid victory in Online Marketing.

I always advise my clients to begin their online success journeys by developing a meaningful Social Media presence. Most of you are probably already on various Social Media sites. But now you need to learn how to use them to become a powerful engine to endlessly drive prospects and leads into your online business. Every entrepreneur knows that prospects and leads are how you spell success. Let me give you a brief insider glimpse at the counsel I give my clients for using Social Media to achieve this critical goal.

1. Assume Position

When YOU–the entrepreneur–go online to begin marketing, consider which marketing positions to take up. Usually, you start by creating accounts on the “Big Three” social media sites: Facebook, You Tube and Twitter.

There are social bookmarking sites like Digg and Delicious, video sites like Viddler, Metacafe and Google Videos. And this just scratches the surface. But I suggest you do what I teach my clients: start with the Big Three and expand as you begin to develop your online niche, create valuable content for others to share, and start building a base of followers, readers and viewers.

So, let’s say you open accounts for the Big Three sites. These constitute be the Social Media “positions” that you have taken up.

Open accounts for each of them in order to assume those positions.

Carefully develop your profiles to define who you are and why you’re in the Social Media to begin with. In this way, you’ve taken the first step to identifying yourself to potential business partners and prospects.

2. Reinforce Your Social Media Positions

Developing your business through Social Media requires more than just creating and setting up accounts, of course. You must reinforce your positions with good, valuable content that is specifically meaningful to your target clientele.

This will be the subject of the second part of this 3-part series.

3. Use Your Positions To Co-Ordinate and Carry Out Your Extreme Marketing Campaigns

Now that you’ve got your social media positions staked out, it’s time to attack. Go on the offensive. Root out all the browsers and seekers of whatever products, information and other value that you have to offer.

This will be the subject of the third part of this 3-part series.

SUMMARY

Your Social Media sites will be the base from which all operations proceed, and your Internet Marketing Success will be measured by how effectively you carry out missions to attract and convert prospects, leads, down-lines and business partners into your marketing funnels. Once you have established ongoing reinforcement of your Social Marketing positions, you are ready to unleash extreme campaigns that will put your business on the map and establish you as a force to be reckoned with in the world of cutting edge internet entrepreneurs and online marketers. – Don’t miss my other posts that detail the second and third parts of this 3-part series designed to propel you to rapid victory in Online Marketing.

Many of my students, lately, are asking me how to start a blog. A lot of them want to know how to start a blog for a life success coaching business. Maybe because it’s the new year… resolutions to finally create a blog are catching fire. To create a blog is one thing. To build a blog is quite another. Learning how to get your blog noticed, how to make money from your blog, how to get your blog noticed and then increasing blog traffic… all of these elements are essential to the whole purpose of writing a blog to begin with.

When students or clients ask me how to start a blog, my first question is WHY do you want to create a blog in the first place. The most common answer I get is that they want to drive traffic to a place where they can capture people’s interest in what they are doing. Then, not surprisingly, they want to know how to increase blog traffic fast. So, for instance, if you want to start a blog for a life success coaching business, you clearly need to attract people that are interested in self-development, in creating “success” in their lives, perhaps in their career, financially, maybe with relationships or in terms of a specific skill like public speaking or being more assertive.

To attract these specific kinds of people–self-identified “prospects”–to your blog, I teach my clients to meet them where they are, enter their lives and learn who they are. Many such prospects can be found in the social media, seeking out life success coaches. They appear on search engines, typing in questions about self-development, or maybe even asking how they can connect with a reputable life success coach. There are specific online techniques I teach clients for capturing the attention of these people who are specifically seeking what they have to offer.

One such technique is to direct friends and visitors of your social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg and others… to YOUR BLOG. If they are out there seeking expertise that you have, and if you can show them in your blog how you apply your expertise to solving their problems or making their lives more valuable… then YOUR BLOG is a great place for them to improve their lives. Your job is to send them there. Post links to your site in the social media, let people know you have valuable information and methods they can apply. Let them know that YOUR BLOG is the place to go to find this.

Some of my clients have voiced concern that such a technique is self promotional. Of course it is. If you are in business, and especially if the business is focused on the professional help YOU have to offer, then you better promote yourself. YOU are your entire offer.

The only concern you should have about being self-promoting is if you are pushing your promotion on people who have not asked for it and may very well have no interest in it. That is simply spamming people. It’s analogous to the door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman of old, who would knock on the door (not too many doorbells in those days) and throw a handful of dirt on the floor as soon as someone opened it. Then he’d “sell” you on how great his vacuum is, if you’d just let him in to clean up the mess he just created. This is spam. Don’t do it if you want your blog to be taken seriously, and moreover, if you want your professionalism to be undisputed.

There ought to be plenty of people out there who want your services. (If not, you better reconsider the value of your business at the outset.) People who are interested in your services (1) need to be attracted to explore your invitation to visit your blog, (2) need to have sufficient trust in you as a person that they are willing to give you the information you request to follow up with them, and (3) need to be able to clearly and quickly see how you can help them and at what cost.

Attracting people to your blog at the outset is a matter of meeting them in social circles (the social media) and letting them get to trust you from a personal standpoint. This is accomplished by offering information, insights, perspective, tips… anything you think will be of value to your target prospects. These things can be shared in the social media, with links back to your blog. Once on your blog, the prospect will be able to get the immediate information, insight or tip he was looking for, plus will be afforded the opportunity to spend some time on your blog and get to know you better.

Once the prospect knows you sufficiently to trust you, he or she will most likely proceed to exploring your blog to determine your offer and pricing. At that point, they will be likely to give you their contact information so you can contact them and give them more detailed information about how you can give them the products and services they are looking for.

So this gives you an idea of the power of having and why you should have a blog, one method of getting your blog noticed and, finally, how to make money from your blog. This information is pertinent to those my clients who want to know how to start a blog for a life success coaching business as well as for those who want to promote an MLM opportunity or teach people to play the guitar.

There are MANY other techniques to explore in order to create a blog that is effective and valuable to people, and in order to market your blog to prospects that are looking for what you have to offer. Perhaps the most powerful way, in fact, to promote your blog, is to syndicate it through the efforts of other bloggers who have the same goals in mind… creating and maintaining a blog that will drive prospects to them. This is called “content syndication” and the people who come together to help each other out in this way are often referred to as a “tribe”
